Hi.

Welcome to my blog. Where I document my adventures in life. Here you'll find a little bit of every thing that gets me going. Let your hair down and enjoy the ride!

So let's go ahead and address the tough stuff...I have not unpacked. However, I finally got back to my morning workouts this week so I will settle for that small victory. Great! Now that we established that, let's talk about my weekend adventures.

Let's start with the facts. Unless it's running the occasional errand, I don't really care to go out alone. I'd rather grab takeout and enjoy it on the couch. However, after a full week of working out of my home office, I decided I needed to get out and explore. And where better to do so than my favorite place...Miami!!

Please believe I went back and forth about whether I should go because I had zero plans when I got there and no one to enjoy them with. However, I couldn't pass up the chance now that I'm in an insanely reasonable driving distance now. Sooooo, I hit the road!

Now GPS is an awesome technology that comes equipped on most smartphones and some cars these days. Pretty foolproof right? Nope! If you're looking for someone who can find a way to struggle while actually using GPS, I'm your gal. Fortunately, I had nothing but time because the "rerouting" feature and I got pretty acquainted yesterday. Regardless I was able to make it to my first stop.

This is a taco spot that has been on my list since shortly after I first moved here. If not for the tacos, for the bright aesthetic of the restaurant. The outside display was so cute and inviting. I dined at the bar trying my best not to be the awkward person that eats lunch/dinner alone.

However, once I got my tacos, I completely forgot about my uneasiness. Although a little small and served with corn tortillas (I forgot to ask for flour due to my nervousness) the tacos were delicious.

The salsa bar allowed me to dress them to my liking and my order of guacamole sealed the deal. I would definitely recommend them if you are ever in town, especially for Taco Tuesday.

Once I scarfed down my tacos I realized that I still didn't have any other actual plans for the day (ya girl has got to do better with solo travel) and it was bound to rain soon so I decided to head to Brickell where there are indoor shops. I ended up at Brickell City Centre and marveled at the architecture around me. After I did my share of window shopping and had some awesome mango gelato I decided to head home.

Remember I said that I can manage to get GPS directions wrong? Well, of course, this happened on my way home as well. However, after adding an extra 15 minute to my arrival time and having a shouting match with GPS, to my relief (and my mother's) I made it home safely to nap! #SmallVictories

*Whew* what a day it was. I know it may seem minor but I really stepped out of my comfort zone this weekend in an attempt to make an unfamiliar place feel more like home. For a small town girl, that's #Growth. How do you guys think I'm doing so far? Any suggestions for activities I can enjoy on my next solo adventure?
