Jingle Bells: My Hip-Hop/R&B Christmas Playlist!

Jingle Bells: My Hip-Hop/R&B Christmas Playlist!

Santa Clause is coming straight to the ghetto
— Nate Dogg

Full transparency, I can get a little Scroogey around the holidays. It feels as if the Christmas season is starting sooner each year. However, the surefire way to get me revved up and in the Christmas spirit is music so I thought I would share my playlist in hopes that it gives you guys all of the feels as well. No doubt there are some Christmas classics that will always be played during the holidays but I also have a few unconventional favorites of mine. You can check out the playlist below. It includes some awesome songs like:

1) What you want for Christmas - 69 Boyz, and Quad City DJ's

This is hands down my favorite Christmas song which is a puts a spin on the classic "12 days of Christmas." I won't spoil it but imagine the same energy of the 69 Boyz' "Tootsie roll"  in the form of a Christmas song. Trust, it does not disappoint.

2) Santa Claus goes straight to the ghetto - Snoop Dogg & Nate Dogg

Seriously, Nate Dogg's voice on the hook gives me everything in this rendition of the classic "Santa Claus go straight to the ghetto."

3) Sleigh Ride - TLC

One of my faves from the trio, coupled with the video, this doing always made me was to bask in the ambiance of family and friends during the holidays. It's a feel good hit to vibe to.

4) Knockin' boots for Christmas - Luke

So... if you were ever remotely curious as to what the Christmas version of "Knockin' boots" would sound like then search no more! (You can thank your favorite uncle Luke for this, lol)

5) Xmas Blues - Big Tyme

One word...  Bonquisha
