Hi.

Welcome to my blog. Where I document my adventures in life. Here you'll find a little bit of every thing that gets me going. Let your hair down and enjoy the ride!

Welcome…again!

If you're new to the blog allow me to reintroduce myself. I'm Brandi with an "I", hailing from NC. Just a "regular, degular, shmegular" girl who decided to share my journey with the world (speaking it into existence). Like so many have done before me, I decided to leave the comfort and familiarity of my home state behind for new adventures in a new place, hoping to make new friends. Chick fil a is my life force. Drake is my favorite (ask Spotify who claims I listened to 59 hours of his music this year. I think it was more 🤣), Freddie Mercury is my fairy Godfather (I cried something terrible while watching Bohemian Rhapsody), and Stevie Nicks is my spirit animal (honestly, words can't even express how much I love her lol).

Good talk, let's move along shall we?

My goodness. 6 months have gone by. 6 months since I started my blog. 6 months since I took the leap and relocated to the sunshine state and boy did it live up to it's name. Humidity on a hunnid thousand, trillion. However, the temperature was is the low 70's this week while my family and friends back home were shoveling snow so I will consider the climate as a win. I am loving Florida so far and there are so many awesome experiences that are yet to be had!

What’s New?

So what's changed? These days it feels like everything. I work out much more consistently (I know right, I’m shocked too). I'm adjusting my daily routine to include multivitamins, protein, drinking more water, etc. That being said, the jelly belly refuses to go away 😭 but, I feel amazing every time I complete an Orangetheory class and beat a new personal record (like deadlifting 90 pounds but, who's counting anyway, right? lol)! My skin care regimen is evolving and changing and I’ve incorporated some new products that I can’t wait to share with you all. I'm also getting a tattoo removed (ouch) which I'll share more about!

I chopped my hair off after about 8 months of transitioning and November made 1 year post relaxer and so far I love it! My natural curls are becoming more and more defined and I am making sure to keep manipulation low by styling once a week and leaving it alone except for my daily moisturizing regimen. I’m still figuring out the world of natural hair products, which is why I still love a good wig or protective style. My favorite hair care line, Mielle Organics, had a great sale during the Thanksgiving holiday and your girl racked up so also expect me to share more about those products!

The biggest factor in how I am able to keep all of these different regimens going likely has a great deal to do with being able to do my job 100% remote from home. Having no commute and a flexible schedule really allows me to make time for things that I would normally be too burnt out to do so shouts out to my employer for that. Then again…it may be all of the extra sunshine. Who knows?!

The Blog

Full transparency, I am working on proper planning so that in 2019 I am more constantly putting out content for you all! This blogging this is no joke, it takes some work and I am willing to put in the time in addition to teaching myself how to use all of the tools necessary to make graphics and learning video editing all over again (it’s been a while since I was editor on my high school news show!).

When I started this blog I just wanted to share my experiences and keep my family and friends in the loop after I moved away from almost ALL of my loved ones (not exaggerating) and so far it’s been a great tool for that. However, I have been seeking many more opportunities to not only monetize so maybe it can become a full time gig (fingers crossed and prayers up) but also  bring you all helpful content and great products that you will love as much as I do. In addition to being an affiliate for Lulus, I am so grateful to announce that I have also landed affiliate partnerships with Asos and Francesca’s! All great companies that I have shopped with and have clothing and products that I love! With Christmas coming up, all are having great sales that you can shop now, like Up to 60 % off Gifting now until 12/17 8am GMT at Asos and BOGO Mixer 50% Off at Francesca’s.

I am extremely excited for what is to come for Bound 2 Glow! Thank you all for coming along for the ride! Don’t forget to Follow me on social media! #HereWeGlow!
